CFSA

DC Child and Family Services Agency

DC Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is the public child welfare agency in the District of Columbia. CFSA works to improve the safety, permanence, and well-being of abused and neglected children in the District of Columbia and to strengthen their families. Along with its community partners, CFSA works to ensure that children involved in the public child welfare system grow up in safe, permanent homes with strong families.

Generations of Hope Development Corporation

Generations of Hope Development Corporation (GHDC) supports the creation of intergenerational communities based on the “intentional neighboring” model pioneered at Hope Meadows in Illinois over 20 years ago.   GHDC encourages further innovation through an open exchange of ideas and adaptations of the model, providing technical assistance, coordinating collaboration, and providing thought leadership to guide and support the expansion of intentional neighboring in addressing the challenges facing vulnerable people.

The Latin American Youth Center's (LAYC) mission is to empower a diverse population of youth -- Latino, African American, African -- to achieve a successful transition to adulthood, through innovative programs that address their social, academic, and career needs. LAYC has special expertise in serving underserved youth, low-income teen parents, homeless youth, youth in foster care and juvenile justice systems, and youth facing mental health, substance abuse, or complex family issues.

Vida Senior Centers

Vida Senior Centers improve and maintain the quality of life of Latino seniors and other seniors living in isolation or within a family context in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Vida aims to improve the wellness, self-sufficiency, and independence of these seniors by effectively providing culturally and linguistically appropriate programs and services to ensure they have an opportunity to live productive and fulfilling lives while retaining their dignity and independence.
